Happy New Year and happy growing in 2009.

My name is Todd Wessel and welcome to Landscape problem solver. com. This site is loaded with professional landscape  information and tips to assist both homeowners and professionals.

Your landscape will continue to grow with or without my help. Dig in, get involved and learn how to change your curb appeal.  Most of us have to do it ourselves anyway, why not get the results the you deserve.

***** Each page will have a "Just The Facts" section that quickly explains the proper steps for each operation.

Just the Facts for January

1. Do not walk on your grass in the early morning if the
dew is frozen. Frozen grass has an overall whitish
color and is very brittle. Wait until the sun warms the blades
    before you walk across.

2. Fill your flower pots with evergreens like Arborvitae or
variegated Yucca for color thru the winter. This is a nice
    change from flowers.

3. Cut back all dieing perennials to keep garden clean.

4. Divide (split into two) and move perennials if you
    choose or wait until March.

5. Clean all roof gutters of fall leaf debris as needed.

6. Fertilize your turf with a straight Nitrogen fertilizer.
